General Manager

As General Manager of Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre WTC Rotterdam, you hold full responsibility for one of the most dynamic hotel and convention venues in the Netherlands. You lead a committed team of approximately 70 permanent employees, a flexible workforce of over 100 on-call staff (primarily deployed during large-scale congresses and events), as well as a Management Team of 8 professionals.

The hotel features 168 guest rooms and extensive meeting and event facilities, enabling the delivery of congresses and events for up to 2,500 attendees. The venue operates according to an “all-under-one-roof” concept, where hotel, convention and event operations seamlessly come together. This environment requires strong leadership, clear oversight and deep expertise in both hotel management and large-scale congress and event operations.

You are responsible for all operational, commercial and financial activities of the hotel and convention centre. You support and enable your teams in delivering complex, high-end congresses and events, while simultaneously ensuring that the hotel operation consistently performs at the highest level.

• A highly experienced General Manager with a strong commercial drive and in-depth knowledge of the hotel and convention industry
• At least 10 years of experience in hospitality, including several years in a full P&L accountable (General Manager) role
• Proven experience with large-scale congresses and events (up to approximately 2,500 attendees)
• Extensive Food & Beverage experience and a strong understanding of MICE operations
• Experience leading large teams as well as a senior management team
• Affinity with both corporate and leisure guests
• A completed Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in hospitality management, hotel management or business administration
• Strong financial acumen, P&L responsibility and a focus on quality and results
• A coaching and connecting leadership style, strong communication skills and fluency in Dutch and English
• An entrepreneurial, energetic personality with confidence, humour and natural authority
